Weeknotes: Week #28 - 2026

This week has been fairly uneventful in terms of the things I learn or experience. I think a major part of it is me getting onto Instagram for the “art” and truthfully it is not helping. Yes, there is better variety of content on the platform but it is also very easy to doomscroll mindlessly, something that I have avoided for the longest time.

With that being said, the key highlights of this week are the following

  1. Did not watch any webseries or movies this week. Brain is fairly cleansed for creative work over the weekend. Sadly, did not complete reading the “Originals by Adam Grant” either, which is a bit annoying.

  2. No more compliance issues to deal with which is great. And after finally having installed all software, and different repositories, I think I am at a much better place to get development up and running.

  3. I have purchased some art-related stationary but I have not gotten to it. I think I am going to go ahead and sketch a little something up after finishing up my lunch. It is better to let some of the creativity out. Good for health.

  4. Speaking of health. I have started to have “gut problems”. And I need more permanent solutions to these. The problems are mainly with indigestion and acid reflux with a high chance of me having a stomach ulcer. Now, my only hope is that it heals faster that it deteriorates taking into consideration my age and quicker healing. That being said, I really need to start stepping out of the house and involve in physical activity. I have made some small purchases which are on the way. Let’s see how it turns out.

Starting something off this weekend otherwise it would not carry into the week.

  1. Interesting state of affairs is that the cleaning staff at my PG ran away. This came as a bit of a shocker but it also means that the room isn’t getting cleaned and that’s a turn-off. Have raised the appropriate complaints but till not there is no resolution regarding the same. Let’s see, one problem at a time.

  2. Now, coming back to the programming and coding aspects of my life, the break has been fairly long. I have not been learning or reading tech related articles at all and that is a growing concern of mine. So, I am going to do something about that too. Let’s start by finishing off that “unfinished” kubernetes certification from long back. That’s the least I can do. If I have to push it some more, I would do a few exercises off iximiuz labs and that would call it a week.

  3. Our project - “convene” is still hanging in the balance. I need to find time and wrap up major portions of it. For some reason, when I am free Ashwin is not, and when he is free, then I am not.

  4. It’s quite interesting that people around us are progressing in their own ways too. I recently got a repository from Samith trying to solve or should I say “stabilize” the payment infrastructure. I think Anokha gave him lots of new ideas to play with. Glad for him.

  5. Finally, coming to the department of sleep schedule. I cannot say that the improvement has been major. I have had a minor improvement where things have shifted by 1-2 hours so most of my sleep it happening between 2-10AM. I would like this to be moved to 1-9AM or 12-8AM if possible but let’s see. All in due time.

That’s it for the week. It is Saturday. I usually write and publish this piece off on Friday nights so it is 12 hours delayed. But oh well, that’s just another thing to fix in the grand scheme of things. I am going to leave this here and get back to my lunch followed by some good work.

Adios.
