WIP

There is a certain calm to coming back at home. The week has been fairly interesting. I have been able to catch up with a few friends from school as well as reconnecting with Kiran.

Explorations

• On the sidelines, I have started looking deeply into the LLM playlist that I started last weekend. This also means, that a little less time for everything else but I think that’s fine. I need to compartmentalize better.

• Lately I have been noticing that Varun has gotten more consistent with solving Leetcode which is a refreshing change and is indirectly pushing me to do the same. Honestly, I am looking forward to it. If anything, I think there is a part of me that is yearning to look upto someone around my age. Let’s see how it pans out, I have good hopes.

• I have started planning the dev-environment project. I am calling it Outpost for the time being. Honestly, with all the long paragraphs, ChatGPT caused a psychological fatigue within an hour, but I think the questions were well put.

• Good for brainstorming but I do need a better way to interact with ChatGPT. My current understanding is that I am comprehensive enough with my prompts but my prompts are trying to do too much at the same time. Interestingly, the models have gotten better which means that they can keep up with me overloading information but at the same time, I cannot keep up with the model on planning and iterating just as quickly.

• I need to setup a voice-first workflow so that I don’t have to explicitly type everything out. I need to change the persona of talking a little bit and actually learn how to break things down into a project and carry it forward. This is going to be instrumental going forward because every engineer is expected to work more and build a lot more. Like a 10x engineer. So, let’s see.

Entertainment

• With season 4 of Ted Lasso releasing, I am curious as to how this season shapes up to be with major elements of the cast replaced.

• I have also started watching Silo featuring Rebbecca Ferguson. Honestly, I am quite intrigued by the concept and it’ll be interesting to see how this one takes shape. It’s got three seasons and I have found the source material on which this is based.
